All BHMUN participants must read the Code of Conduct document found here and adhere to the rules and regulations stated below:
Rules & Regulations
Cultural or religious clothing items / costumes, as well as casual clothing such as sports shoes or denim clothing, are not allowed.
Only formal clothing is recommended.
Alcohol and Tobacco Products
BHMUN is a high school conference and is held on Bilkent University campus.
TOBACCO AND ALCOHOL PRODUCTS ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED.
Any delegate in breach of this regulation will be immediately told to leave the conference.
Advisors have permission to smoke in designated areas on the university campus.
Food and Beverage
Simit and açma will be provided in the morning coffee break.
A three course meal will be provided at lunch time.
An accortment of cookies will be provided in the afternoon coffee break.
Tea, coffee and water will be provided throughout the whole conference.
Phones and Electronic Devices
All delegates are permitted to use mobile phones during the conference.
Mobile phones are only prohibited during unmoderated caucuses.
All participants must wear the BHMUN badge at all times.
If a badge is not worn upon entry to the conference or social event, then the participant will be refused entry.
A replacement badge can be reprinted for a fee of 35 TL.
Flags and Placards
Flags and placards will be placed in every committee. It is vitally important that you do not lose your flag or placard during the conference.
A replacement flag costs 30 TL, a replacement placard costs 15 TL.
The Conference Folder
This conference folder includes a brochure, a notebook consisting of amendment and note passing papers, and a pen which are all necessary for the conference and committee.
If you lose your conference folder and wish to receive a new one, this can be replaced at a fee of 50 TL.
Participants are expected to be in their assigned committees, on time for every session.
If a delegate misses 3 committee sessions, they will not receive a certificate.
Note passing will take place with the help of admin staff.
Inappropriate messages or notes written in a language other than English is not permitted, and the note will not be passed.
Note passing will not be permitted during voting procedures.
It is the responsibility of every participant to respect the admin staff and treat them as equally members of the BHMUN community.
All information provides to the BHMUN team will be kept private and secure.
Such private information will not be shared with any one other than those required within the BHMUN team.
We value your respect and privacy.
Any information taken from the internet must be cited appropriately using one of the approved citation methods.
BHMUN will not tolarate plagiarised content.
Özel Bilkent High School is located on Bilkent University campus and takes the safety of all participants extremely seriously.
Delegates must wear their badge at all times during the conference to enter the university campus and high school.
Campus security guards are located around the university campus 24 hours a day for the safety of all participants.
Any item considered to be a dangerous weapon must not be brought to the conference or will be confiscated by the security.
